Kona Coffee began out of a desire not to create a business, but to create a community. A place to be invigorated and inspired, where the mundane of daily life is replaced for a moment with the welcoming warmth of sunshine (even on the greyest days). Inspired by Hawaii, the location of the world championships for Triathlon, Kona coffee is all about taking a pause and enjoying the moment, whether that pause is the pit-stop on your cycle route, your lunch break from work, or some simply well deserved ‘me’ time.

We know how important diet is in the world of athletics and we were keen to ensure our coffee would only compliment your journey into triathlon. Coming across Helena and Simon at Truestart was an absolute dream.  The winners of the ‘Brand of the future’, this energetic power couple began their journey in triathlon just like us! Discovering their love of coffee lead to racing hearts and shaking hands; They wanted a healthy, clean roast they could rely on. Discovering that the caffeine in coffee is both varied and unpredictable, they developed the first coffee in the world to provide a boost with no crash thanks to a stable caffeine content at 95mg in each serving.

Not only is Truestart coffee delicious, it is roasted daily and shipped to us immediately. In fact, the bags are often still hot when I begin unpacking them in the morning! We’re confident we are providing the freshest coffee in the city. Coffee you can rely on to give you that much needed boost without the dreaded caffeine crash. With Truestart being graded at 82% by the speciality coffee association you can be sure it’s the highest quality coffee.

Originally founded by triathlete couple,  Simon & Helena, who were both desperate for the perfect start to their training, as well as the challenges that everyday working life throws at us, True Start was born; offering ethical, vibrant, feel good coffee for whenever you need a positive lift, without the caffeine crash. 

Kona Coffee are proud to be partnering with True Start to serve the very best, award winning coffee. If the bikes aren't worth the trip, then the coffee certainly is!

As well as general repairs our bike workshops offer three service packages; bronze, silver and an all inclusive gold service all come with free coffee while you wait!

We have the option available for a full custom bike build, in either TT, mountain or road style! This is fully customised with either our own Daley, Basso, Cinelli, Deda, or Tifosi frames.  

In addition to this we can offer custom wheel building and perhaps most importantly, we have no affiliation to any brand, so we are fully independent and therefore unbiased in our recommendations. It also means there are no long wait times for bikes from a specific manufacturer.
